*EXAM SITTING RULE: 4 AS (ADVANCED SUBSIDIARY) LEVEL + 1 IGCSE LEVEL PASS (SA UNIVERSITY EXEMPTION RULE)

 
• 2 Languages must be offered to qualify for complete exemption (Unless Non-SA Citizen)
• English Home Language must have a minimum C (60%) or D (50%) pass
• The minimum pass requirements: 1 C (60%) and the rest of the subjects a D (50%)
• All subjects must be passed over a 2 sitting (May/June or October/November) over 2 year period
• Where a subject is only examined in either the Oct/Nov or May/June session, the following or preceding Oct/Nov or May/June session will be regarded as the same sitting, e.g. Afrikaans Language offered in Nov only.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATION FEES: IGCSE TO A LEVELS

 
• Exams for IGCSE, AS and A Levels are administered by accredited private Cambridge Exam Centres or via the British Council, who charge a separate fee.
• This fee will range based on the year of study and subject and will differ depending on who the exam is booked with (a private provider or the British Council).
• Exam centres for private candidates are based only in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
• Practical Subjects (ICT, Biology, Physics and Chemistry) at AS and A Levels have practical exams which require the booking of a laboratory by a Cambridge Provider.
